Kenta Nagai is an assistant professor at Tokyo Medical University, department of neurosurgery, Tokyo Japan. He has performed photodynamic therapy for malignant glioma patients since 2014, and researched basic research of photodynamic therapy for malignant brain tumors. From 2020 to 2022, he worked in Department of Molecular Pathology, Tokyo Medical University, Tokyo, Japan, as a researcher, and he found out efficacy of interstitial photodynamic therapy using talaporfin sodium and a semiconductor laser for a mouse allograft glioma model [Nagai K. et al. Sci Rep. 2024 Apr 21;14(1):9137.]. In parallel, he also researched pathological diagnosis using Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Non-surgical dissection therapy uses interstitial photodynamic treatment with a laser beam and narrow optic fiber for the effective treatment of gliomas.
