Torbjörn Nordling
Dr Torbjörn Nordling is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National Cheng Kung University, Taiwan. His research focuses on the application of AI, Data Science, Machine Learning, and System Identification techniques to deduce new knowledge in Epidemiology, Medical Technology, Computational Biology, and Systems Biology. Dr Nordling has published more than 25 articles in international peer-reviewed journals. He is currently leading a team developing a COVID-19 forecasting model based on synthetic individual data, aiming to explore an alternative to the reliance on population statistics that proved unreliable during the pandemic.
